The Sultry Symmetry

Symmetry in natural and man-made things has always attracted me...
and one of the major reasons why I started gaining interest in photography.

Alluring, seductive and bewitching: I pursue and see symmetry and patterns in the most unnoticed, mundane and unexpected.

..................

Nothing is perfect. For me, symmetry is more about the harmony and synchronicity among the elements, not a flawless structure.

And you'll definitely notice those beautiful imperfections in my muses.
Don't forget to look up! Rooftops are like those uncharted territories that sit right on top of our head... yet unnoticed and uncelebrated for their beauty and symmetry.
The pursuit for symmetry often subconsciously aligns with our desire for discipline, peace and "everything falling into place" in the chaos that exist today.

Eye-pleasing and resting, symmetric imagery and cues can often bring meditational value.

Clicking symmetrical visuals usually requires following leading lines, framing and cropping (photography rules). And of course, keeping your eyes open to discover patterns and symmetry.
Finally, looking for easy sighting of symmetry and patterns? Just stand in front of an architectural marvel and maybe even one of the Seven Wonders of the World... it's a great start!
